Local prototype · September 2026

More room to play.
More room to choose.

A first enhancement of the three existing sessions. Start with Session 2 for the complete moth capture → companion journey → body map journey. These are prototype adaptations for clinical and family review.

NEW / THE FAMILY’S WEEKPlay. Connect. Make room.

A working local family experience for all three sessions: plan two moments, open the real game, try a guided conversation, and print the matching card or download the calendar.

STAFF CONSOLE / NAVIGATION REDESIGNA simpler place to work.

Five main areas, a focused follow-up queue, and clearer family records. Read-only local preview with fictional families; run gg-data/preview-console.py if unavailable.

WORLD 1 / RESTORED GAME + SURFINGRide the river. Meet the two waters.

The lake activity, an optional current-riding interlude, the original Riverlight sorting game, and the flight home. Surfing can be skipped or left at any time.

PROGRAM / BACKEND DESIGN PREVIEWA family's week.

Explore the proposed family, coach, operations and research workspaces. Example data only, with the delivery proposal and RCT design alongside.

NEW / SORTING AS PLAYTending

Carry each reaction's light into a living garden. Choose where it blooms; your movement leaves roots and light. Six original reactions in one quiet, continuous space.

NEW / SESSION 1 MOVEMENT REDESIGNLightflight

Directly steer the ray, gather whole strands of light, and dash through shifting veils. Three short passages, three original grief reactions, and a growing luminous garden. A separate prototype; earlier versions are preserved below.

START HERE / SESSION 2Your feelings, your light

Start with one feeling or uncertainty. Gather your moths, guide them through the clearings, then bring their colors to your body map.

THREE-CLEARING JOURNEYBring the clearing to life.

Wake a spring garden, ride lantern leaves through a firefly hollow, then climb into the starlit canopy. Rest, reflect if you want, and carry a lantern onward.

REUNION PREVIEW / SAMPLE COLORSTogether again.

Jump ahead to the new ending: gathered moths meet the companion, then join the color choices as the body map opens.

SESSION 1 / FOUR-FORK PROTOTYPEA river of choices.

A continuous side-scrolling river. Swim, pause at a fork, choose a branch, and grow a plant before the river rejoins. Four original examples, plus a current-hop, spring bounce, and optional bubble arc between the first two questions.

SESSION 1 / INTEGRATED RIVER JOURNEYEvery thought has a place.

Read a grief reaction, then slingshot toward gloomy or helpful water. Arrival grows its plant; personal reflection stays optional. All 18 original core thoughts.

SESSION 1 / PRESERVED QUIET-POOL VERSIONCompare the previous journey.

The earlier integration: swim between three pools, then explore six thoughts at each quiet pause. Preserved for comparison and rollback.

SESSION 1 / EXPLORATION ROUNDThe wandering waters.

Choose a branch, wake any two hidden places, and follow the light home. Optional discoveries reward taking your own route.

SESSION 1 / MOVEMENT STUDYPull. Swim. Flow.

Pull behind your companion and release like a slingshot. Learn with marked currents, then turn the practice guides off to discover them.

SESSION 1 / NEW PLAY PROTOTYPEDraw the river.

Guide a light around lily beds, meet the ray or otter, and choose where a bloom grows. One encounter, with two example reactions.

SESSION 1 / CHILD CHOICEEvery thought belongs

A focused 18-thought journey, with more to explore at each rest. The river’s artwork no longer depends on whether a reaction describes you.

SESSION 3 / ROOM FOR WORDSA moment can matter

Reflect without writing, or keep a memory. The same celebration welcomes either choice.

Your original is preserved in C:/dev/games/grief-galaxy. This preview runs from the separate grief-galaxy-enhancements checkout. Nothing has been published. The 30–60-minute session target needs observed playtesting; the light garden is an optional short detour, not a substitute for a full session.
