the check-in
from world two on, the first flight to a world goes through the grief thermometers (Handout 1.3, the rating flight) — the ship rates the week, then flies on. in the game = the ship does it; on paper = you do it, and the ship flies straight there.
the beginning
the first visit opens with the world's birth — a wordless minute you speak over. It pauses for the name if none is set (this dot breathes; type it, close this, and the name rises). Each beat runs on its own; a tap on the world goes on to the next one — your pace. Roughly, beat by beat:
the opening is the film before the beginning (intro.html, the front door for a family that has never been home): the one light, the ray that swoops out and eats it, the stream up into the words, get started — which lands back here.
